Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgeon
Mr Nathan Hayward is an Otolaryngology (ENT) – Head and Neck Surgeon with comprehensive sub-speciality training in the surgical management of Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA), Snoring and Sleep Disordered Breathing (SDB) in Adults and Children. Nathan is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). Following completion of ENT Surgery training in Victoria, he undertook further specialized training in Sleep Surgery under the guidance of Professor Stuart Mackay – a world leading surgeon and researcher in the field. He is one of very few surgeons in Australia who has undertaken post-Fellowship training in Sleep Surgery. He has been a visiting/observing surgeon at major Sleep Surgery clinics in the United States and has been an invited speaker at International and National meetings focusing on Sleep Surgery. He is committed to advancing Sleep Surgery through innovation and research.
Nathan’s expertise lie in the assessment and identification of surgical management options in treating adult and paediatric OSA/SDB/snoring. His advanced training and experience enables him to offer the full spectrum of evidence based and innovative techniques in Sleep Surgery.
Mr Hayward also holds a public hospital appointment Monash Health as a Consultant Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgeon and is committed to the education and guidance of training junior doctors and surgeons.
When away from work Nathan enjoys spending time with his wife and young family, trying to stay to fit, and cheering on the Hawks.
